Product Quality Disclaimer

Hey there. Here at Teacaps, product quality is a core value. We strive to deliver the best possible keycaps we can.

That said, the processes involved with PBT keycap production, and more importantly, dye-sublimation, aren’t perfect. We do our best to minimize the severity of these imperfections — below are some of the variances we consider acceptable quality.

If you feel you received a defective keycap set, don’t hesitate to reach out at hello@teacaps.studio.

Small Marks

Particularly on reverse dye-sublimated keycaps — those with darker colors and lighter legends — small sprue marks and small white marks may be present.

Minor Warping

Because of the processes involved with manufacturing plastic components, our keycaps may appear slightly warped. We’ve implemented guidelines to minimize the amount of warp present.

Light Blockage

Our keycaps utilize thick-walled PBT construction — 4.5mm side walls. Depending on the brightness of backlighting underneath keycaps, however, light may still pass through.

Legend Alignment

Dye-sublimation is a process done, in part, by hand. As a result, you may notice slight variations of no more than a few millimeters with some legends. We have guidelines in place to minimize the amount of legend stray, and catch any major issues before they’re shipped.

Color Variance

We utilize a combination of renders and photos to best represent our keycaps. Our color matching process is intensive, and we always use production-ready sets for photos. Depending on a number of factors, however, the keycap set you receive may appear to differ slightly from digital representations.
